Gibco™ DMEM/F-12, HEPES, no phenol red

Gibco™ DMEM/F-12 (Dulbecco's Modified Eagle Medium/Nutrient Mixture F-12) is a widely used basal medium designed to support the growth of a broad range of mammalian cells. This 1:1 mixture combines the high concentrations of glucose, amino acids, and vitamins from DMEM with the wide variety of components found in Ham's F-12.

This specific formulation (Cat. No. 11039021) is modified with L-glutamine, HEPES, and does not contain phenol red. The addition of HEPES provides powerful pH buffering that minimizes fluctuations outside of a CO₂ incubator, making it ideal for applications requiring extended observation or manipulation. The absence of phenol red makes this medium suitable for assays or experiments where the pH indicator might interfere with measurements.

Produced in cGMP-compliant facilities, Gibco™ DMEM/F-12 contains no proteins, lipids, or growth factors. Each batch is manufactured to meet rigorous quality standards for sterility and performance.

This medium is stable for up to 12 months when stored at 2–8 °C and protected from light. It is shipped at ambient temperature and is suitable for both research use and further manufacturing applications.
