Legal

Most products require no additional agreements. Cell lines and certain biological materials require a Material Transfer Agreement (MTA) on first purchase from each supplier. We handle this digitally - both parties sign online before shipment. Subsequent orders from the same supplier proceed immediately.

Support

Hamilton provides direct post-sales support including troubleshooting, process optimisation, and protocol guidance. Batch-specific documents available on request.

The Hamilton Dencytee Arc is an in-line optical sensor designed to measure total cell density and turbidity across a wide range of bioprocess concentrations. Unlike traditional optical density probes that lose linearity as biomass increases, the Dencytee Arc automatically adjusts its light intensity to compensate for high cell densities, ensuring reliable readings from inoculation through to harvest. It operates at near-infrared (NIR) wavelengths (860 nm), making the measurement insensitive to changes in media colour while capturing data on all light-scattering particles, including cells and cellular debris.

This sensor is particularly effective for monitoring the rapid expansion phase of fermentation and cell culture, providing immediate feedback on growth rates that correlates strongly with offline dry weight or optical density measurements. The integrated Arc intelligence stores calibration and correlation data directly within the sensor head, simplifying workflow and ensuring seamless data integration into the process control system without external converters.

The unit features a robust, hygienic stainless steel body with a sapphire window and is fully compatible with CIP (Cleaning-in-Place) and SIP (Sterilisation-in-Place) protocols up to 140 °C. It utilises a standard PG13.5 process connection and requires no specific maintenance beyond standard cleaning, making it a low-maintenance solution for establishing total biomass baselines in R&D and production environments.
