Gibco™ Horse Serum, New Zealand origin is a specialty serum designed for basic cell culture, specialty research, and specific assays. It is collected from adult horses and provides a biological serum supplement for cell culture applications where horse serum is required. The serum is sourced from New Zealand and is EIA tested negative using serum from a controlled donor herd.
The serum is processed using standard sterile filtration and supplied as a sterile liquid. Gibco™ Horse Serum is collected from a controlled herd, and Thermo Fisher states that if an animal requires treatment with an antibiotic, that animal is removed from the drawing program for the full withholding period of the administered drug. This controlled collection process supports the quality and suitability of the serum for research applications.
Gibco™ Horse Serum, New Zealand origin is supplied as a frozen liquid and is intended for incorporation into cell culture workflows according to the requirements of the specific application. Thermo Fisher recommends storing animal sera at −5°C to −20°C and minimizing exposure to light during storage and handling. The product is available in different pack sizes, including the 100 mL format.
