XCeLL Factor™ IGF-1 LR3 is a recombinant insulin like growth factor designed to enhance proliferation, differentiation, and survival in mammalian cell systems. The LR3 analogue incorporates a thirteen amino acid extension at the N terminus, which reduces binding to inhibitory proteins and increases its effective activity in serum free media. This extended signalling capability supports myoblast proliferation, protein synthesis, and early differentiation processes relevant to cultivated meat and advanced tissue culture applications.
The protein is produced through E. coli expression and purified to a high level of homogeneity with low endotoxin content. Each batch is manufactured to preserve structural integrity and maintain consistent biological activity across a range of cell types, including fibroblasts and myocytes. This defined and animal origin free production approach contributes to predictable performance in workflows where reproducibility and quality control are required for media optimisation or early scale up.
XCeLL Factor™ IGF-1 LR3 is supplied as a liquid formulation that integrates directly into serum free or chemically defined media. The format supports stable storage at low temperature and reduces preparation time by eliminating reconstitution steps. Once added to culture systems, the growth factor provides sustained signalling that promotes viable expansion and supports the development of tissue specific characteristics.
