Metabolic Pathway Mapping for Cultivated Meat Cells
If you are building cultivated meat processes, metabolic pathway mapping helps you decide what to feed, when to feed it, and what sensors to use before cell state drifts. I’d...

Most products require no additional agreements. Cell lines and certain biological materials require a Material Transfer Agreement (MTA) on first purchase from each supplier. We handle this digitally - both parties sign online before shipment. Subsequent orders from the same supplier proceed immediately.
Lucius Labs DMEM/F12 + HEPES is a high-performance basal cell culture medium designed to provide a robust foundation for a wide range of cell lines. This medium is chemically defined and animal-origin-free, ensuring batch-to-batch consistency and regulatory compliance. As a serum-free formulation, it eliminates variability and potential contaminants associated with serum, making it ideal for sensitive applications. The formulation is a 1:1 mixture of Dulbecco's Modified Eagle Medium and Ham's F12.
The key differentiator is the dual buffering system combining sodium bicarbonate and HEPES, providing enhanced pH stability during cell culture procedures. This is particularly valuable when cultures are temporarily removed from controlled CO₂ environments. The medium contains 3150 milligrams per litre of glucose, supporting high metabolic demands. It is formulated without L-glutamine but includes sodium pyruvate for additional metabolic support.
This medium is optimised for cultivated meat applications, supporting the proliferation and differentiation of various cell types including muscle, fat, and connective tissue cells. The chemically defined composition enables precise control over culture conditions, essential for scalable bioprocessing.
Storage at 2-8°C maintains product integrity, with a guaranteed shelf life exceeding six months. Liquid formulations are sterile-filtered through 0.2-micrometre membranes, ensuring microbiological safety for critical cell culture applications.
Cellag Bio is the structured intelligence layer for cultivated meat R&D — scattered published research distilled into decision-ready records: what worked, what failed, the likely cause, and what to do instead. Before committing budget to a medium, reagent, or cell line, check the evidence behind it: real experimental outcomes and failure modes, not marketing claims.
Search by media, reagent, cell line or species (e.g. "Beefy-9" or "B8") to find the records that use it.
