Customising Chassis Cells for Structured Meat Products
For cultivated meat R&D teams, producing structured whole-cuts like steaks or fillets requires more than just growing cells. The key lies in chassis cells - muscle, fat, and connective tissue...

Most products require no additional agreements. Cell lines and certain biological materials require a Material Transfer Agreement (MTA) on first purchase from each supplier. We handle this digitally - both parties sign online before shipment. Subsequent orders from the same supplier proceed immediately.
Alvetex® Advanced handles provide a reliable labware solution for the precise positioning of modular 3D scaffolds within culture vessels. Available in low, medium, and high configurations, these handles allow for the vertical adjustment of modular inserts, offering consistency and traceability for comparative studies. They maintain stable positioning of tissues within the growth medium, providing a strong foundation for complex co-culture engineering.
The handles are validated for use with Alvetex 15 mm modular inserts and are specifically designed to fit 6-well plates or large-volume single-well vessels. This flexibility allows researchers to easily transition between submerged culture and air-liquid interface (ALI) formats by adjusting the depth of the scaffold relative to the medium surface. Each handle is manufactured from inert, high-quality polystyrene and has been screened to ensure no interference with sensitive primary cell populations.
Handles are supplied with assembly guides and technical documentation regarding vessel compatibility. Access to technical support is included to facilitate the design of sophisticated co-culture models and bioprocess optimisation in cultivated meat applications.
These products are for research and development use only. They are not intended for human or diagnostic applications.
Cellag Bio is the structured intelligence layer for cultivated meat R&D — scattered published research distilled into decision-ready records: what worked, what failed, the likely cause, and what to do instead. Before committing budget to a medium, reagent, or cell line, check the evidence behind it: real experimental outcomes and failure modes, not marketing claims.
Search by media, reagent, cell line or species (e.g. "Beefy-9" or "B8") to find the records that use it.
