Customising Chassis Cells for Structured Meat Products
For cultivated meat R&D teams, producing structured whole-cuts like steaks or fillets requires more than just growing cells. The key lies in chassis cells - muscle, fat, and connective tissue...

Most products require no additional agreements. Cell lines and certain biological materials require a Material Transfer Agreement (MTA) on first purchase from each supplier. We handle this digitally - both parties sign online before shipment. Subsequent orders from the same supplier proceed immediately.
The Alvetex® Advanced Starter Kit (ADV-KIT-2) provides a reliable synthetic platform for researchers aiming to investigate the complex interactions between distinct cell populations. This kit is specifically designed for co-culture and paracrine signalling studies, offering the consistency and traceability required to transition from isolated 3D models to integrated tissue–tissue interaction platforms in cultivated meat R&D.
The system features 15 mm modular inserts paired with medium-length handles and bespoke handle holders, allowing researchers to grow multiple 3D constructs either in isolation (using deep-well plates) or within a shared nutrient reservoir (using the 75 mL single-well plate). This flexibility is adherent-compatible and validated for studying the secretion of signalling molecules and growth factors between different cell types, such as myocytes and adipocytes. The scaffolds maintain stable doubling times and physiologically relevant morphology, providing a strong foundation for advanced tissue engineering.
Supplied with a full documentation pack, this kit includes assembly guides, morphology images, and standardised protocols for setting up shared-media co-cultures. Access to technical support and verified procedures is included with each purchase to ensure reproducible results during the study of complex biological cross-talk and niche environment recreation.
These products are for research and development use only. They are not intended for human or diagnostic applications.
Cellag Bio is the structured intelligence layer for cultivated meat R&D — scattered published research distilled into decision-ready records: what worked, what failed, the likely cause, and what to do instead. Before committing budget to a medium, reagent, or cell line, check the evidence behind it: real experimental outcomes and failure modes, not marketing claims.
Search by media, reagent, cell line or species (e.g. "Beefy-9" or "B8") to find the records that use it.
