Alvetex® Perfusion Plates provide a reliable synthetic system for long-term 3D cell culture expansion under flow conditions. Each plate is designed to house two Alvetex inserts, enabling the continuous exchange of growth media to maintain nutrient levels and remove metabolic waste. This provide a strong foundation for bioreactor scale-up and the study of cellular responses to fluid shear stress in cultivated meat production.
The system is compatible with standard peristaltic pumps and validated for stable growth across multiple weeks of continuous culture. By maintaining a constant environment, the perfusion plate reduces variability associated with manual media changes and supports higher biomass accumulation compared to static models. Typical doubling times remain consistent with 3D culture expectations, with post-thaw viability of cells maintained through superior nutrient delivery.
The plates are supplied with a full documentation pack that includes system setup guides, morphology images, and recommended flow rates.
