Customising Chassis Cells for Structured Meat Products
For cultivated meat R&D teams, producing structured whole-cuts like steaks or fillets requires more than just growing cells. The key lies in chassis cells - muscle, fat, and connective tissue...

We handle this digitally - both parties sign online before shipment. Subsequent orders from the same supplier proceed immediately.
Alvetex® Scaffold 24 well plates provide a reliable synthetic platform for 3D cell culture research and development. Each plate contains a highly porous polystyrene scaffold designed to maintain natural cell shape and physiologically relevant cell-to-cell interactions. These scaffolds are 200 µm thick with a defined pore size of 36–40 µm, ensuring no cell is further than 100 µm from the nutrient source and providing a strong foundation for tissue engineering in an inert environment.
The 24 well format is primarily suitable for high-throughput studies and is validated for a wide range of cell types used in cellular agriculture and connective tissue research. All scaffolds are validated for compatibility with standard down-stream analytical techniques and facilitate the exchange of nutrients and waste products by passive diffusion. The polystyrene material is completely inert, eliminating risks associated with foreign animal-derived proteins or cytokines.
Alvetex® products are supplied sterile (gamma irradiated) and ready for use, with no expiry or shelf life when stored at room temperature. Each pack includes full documentation, morphology images, and standardised protocols for 3D culture transition. Technical support is available to assist with scaffold seeding and bioprocess optimisation.
These products are for research and development use only. They are not intended for human or diagnostic applications.
Cellag Bio is the structured intelligence layer for cultivated meat R&D — scattered published research distilled into decision-ready records: what worked, what failed, the likely cause, and what to do instead. Before committing budget to a medium, reagent, or cell line, check the evidence behind it: real experimental outcomes and failure modes, not marketing claims.
Search by media, reagent, cell line or species (e.g. "Beefy-9" or "B8") to find the records that use it.
