Alvetex Strata is a second-generation 3D culture technology designed with a refined pore size specifically to support the growth of cells as a confluent sheet on the surface. The Alvetex Strata 6-well insert is engineered for complex tissue modeling applications, such as skin, mucosal barriers, or oncology models where stratified tissue layers are required.
The 6-well format allows for robust feeding from both the apical and basal sides, which is essential for the long-term maintenance of barrier integrity and differentiation. This architecture allows cells to interact with the 3D structure without migrating deep into the scaffold, facilitating the formation of distinct tissue layers.
Manufactured from high-quality polystyrene, Strata inserts are supplied sterile and ready for use. They are particularly suited for applications requiring air-liquid interface (ALI) culture and subsequent histological sectioning.
