ABLE Bioreactor Magnetic Stir System Base (5 mL) is a compact magnetic stir base engineered to provide precise agitation for up to five 5 mL disposable bioreactors. It enables cost-effective, small-scale screening of growth factors and media formulations, reducing the volume of expensive reagents required during early-stage cultivated meat research.
Features a specialised magnetic array designed to maintain stable vortex-free mixing at very low volumes. The base is constructed with durable, easy-to-clean materials suitable for sterile laboratory environments and long-term use within humidified incubators.
Validated using iPSCs and primary bovine myoblasts in 5 mL volumes, maintaining target doubling times equivalent to larger-scale stir systems. Consistent agitation was confirmed via particle image velocimetry to ensure minimal shear stress at micro-scales.
