Gibco™ L-Glutamine is an essential amino acid supplement used in cell culture to support optimal cell growth and proliferation. L‑glutamine serves as a key energy source and is required for protein and nucleic acid synthesis in most mammalian cells, making it a critical component of classical media formulations.
This formulation (Cat. No. 25030081) is supplied as a 200 mM (100X) concentrated, sterile-filtered liquid. It is recommended for addition to cell culture media at a final concentration of 2 mM. Produced in cGMP-compliant facilities, this supplement is manufactured under rigorous quality standards; each batch is tested for sterility, endotoxin levels, and biological activity to ensure consistent performance.
L‑glutamine is labile in solution and degrades over time, particularly at elevated temperatures and under light exposure. To maintain stability, it should be added to media immediately before use and used within two weeks when stored at 2–8°C.
This solution should be stored at –20°C and protected from light. After thawing, store at 2–8°C and use within one month. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. For research use or further manufacturing. Not for diagnostic use or direct administration into humans or animals.
