Produced via an E. coli expression system, this chemically defined growth factor plays an essential role in maintaining primary cell lines and satellite cells, making it an excellent component for cultivated meat research and serum-free formulation strategies.
The protein features an amino acid length of 189 AA (with His tag) and an estimated molecular weight of ~20.7 kDa. It undergoes rigorous quality control to deliver >95% purity as evaluated by SDS-PAGE, an endotoxin level of <0.1 EU/µg, and a 0.2 µm sterile-filtered rating. In functional validation assays utilizing NIH-3T3 fibroblast proliferation, it demonstrates dose-dependent activity with an ED50 of ≤1 ng/mL.
Available in flexible lyophilized or liquid formats under catalog number XCF-FGF-003, the protein is shipped on dry ice or gel packs. For long-term stability, lyophilized protein should be stored between -20°C and -80°C. Reconstitution in sterile water or PBS to a concentration of 0.1–0.5 mg/mL allows stable storage at 2–8°C for up to one week, or long-term storage in frozen aliquots at -20°C.
