DMEM vs F12 for Cultivated Meat Cell Lines
For cultivated meat R&D teams, I’d screen DMEM, Ham’s F12 and a 1:1 DMEM/F12 mix before choosing a basal medium. None is complete on its own: your cell line, supplements...

We handle this digitally - both parties sign online before shipment. Subsequent orders from the same supplier proceed immediately.
Livestock Labs Bovine Fibroblasts are a dermis-derived bovine fibroblast cell line established from post-mortem tissue collected after rigor. The tissue was sourced from a USDA FSIS-inspected facility and processed into primary cells by an academic cell culture facility.
The donor animals were raised under an IACUC-approved protocol within an AAALAC-accredited program following Agriculture Guide standards. The cell line was subsequently engineered using HDR-mediated targeted cassette integration, incorporating an immortalization factor and pro-proliferative factors. Characterization data include growth performance, karyotype, transcriptome analysis, fibroblast-marker expression, and mycoplasma testing.
Cells are supplied frozen for storage in the liquid or vapor phase of liquid nitrogen, with rapid thawing recommended by the supplier.
