Qkine's food-grade Beefy-9 media discovery kit contains nine essential recombinant growth factors specifically selected for bovine and porcine cell culture in cultivated meat applications. The kit provides a complete growth factor panel for establishing serum-free media formulations, enabling researchers to systematically optimize concentrations and combinations for myoblast proliferation, adipocyte differentiation, and tissue maturation in beef and pork production workflows.
All proteins in this food-grade discovery kit are produced as recombinant proteins in E. coli or mammalian cell expression systems and purified to >95% purity by SDS-PAGE quantitative densitometry. Manufactured in the UK under a HACCP food manufacturing regime, each protein is animal-origin-free (AOF), carrier protein-free, and tag-free to ensure exceptional purity and lot-to-lot consistency. Comprehensive quality control includes mass spectrometry verification, bioactivity testing with EC₅₀ determination, endotoxin analysis (<0.05 EU/μg), and full traceability documentation including certificates of analysis, certificates of origin, allergen analysis, and beta-lactam-free certification.
The kit components are supplied lyophilized for extended shelf life and should be reconstituted according to the certificate of analysis recommendations provided with each protein. Suitable for cultivated meat media optimization, process development, empirical testing of growth factor performance, and cost-benefit analysis during formulation design.
