NFMGG2 is a fully defined, serum‑free growth medium supplement designed for the suspension culture of avian cells. Formulated to be combined with DMEM/F12 basal medium, this proprietary supplement eliminates undefined components such as hydrolysates or extracts, providing a stable, animal‑component‑free baseline for reproducible bioprocess development.
The chemically defined formulation supports reliable cell expansion with typical doubling times of approximately 24 hours in suspension‑adapted chicken cell lines. Cultures may exhibit a low degree of aggregation relative to low‑serum conditions; however, the medium provides a fully defined, serum‑free environment that improves process control, reproducibility, and regulatory alignment for serum‑free bioprocessing.
Designed for use in shake flask and stirred‑tank bioreactor systems, NFMGG2 enables the scalable production of avian cells under serum‑free conditions, supporting applications from R&D through pilot‑scale manufacturing.
