Immobazyme IGF-1 (Human) is a recombinant insulin-like growth factor 1 designed to regulate cell growth, differentiation, and survival in mammalian culture systems. Produced using an E. coli expression system, this protein serves as a critical component for serum-free and chemically defined media, particularly in cultivated meat and regenerative medicine workflows where animal-derived inputs must be eliminated. The recombinant fusion peptide design enhances solubility and stability, ensuring consistent bioactivity during extended culture periods.
This growth factor is manufactured as a food-safe, allergen-free product, aligning with the safety requirements of the future food industry. It undergoes strict quality control to ensure a purity of greater than 95% via SDS-PAGE and is certified free from mycoplasma. Performance testing on MCF-7 cells confirms its biological potency, demonstrating a sigmoidal proliferative response with an EC₅₀ of approximately 55 ng/mL.
Supplied as a sterile lyophilised powder, Immobazyme IGF-1 requires reconstitution in sterile MilliQ water prior to use. The product is stable at -20°C for up to 12 months in its lyophilised state. While compatible with biomanufacturing processes, it is currently intended for research and development use only.
