CytoBoost Revive – A post-thaw recovery supplement for cryopreserved cells and tissues.
CytoBoost Revive is a chemically defined, xeno-free media additive designed to rescue cells from the stress of cryopreservation. It addresses Cryopreservation-Induced Delayed Onset Cell Death (CIDOCD) by stabilising the post-thaw environment, significantly improving cell viability and recovery rates for more consistent and reliable cultures.
Developed to act as a "CPR kit" for cells, Revive's unique formulation uses inert, non-toxic macromolecules to reduce osmotic shock and membrane instability, a key differentiator from general media supplements that do not specifically target post-thaw recovery.
Independent testing has shown that CytoBoost Revive improves iPSC recovery rates from a typical 20-30% to over 80%. This represents a four-fold increase in viable cells, with faster return to normal proliferation and consistent colony formation within 48 hours.
Supplied as a sterile, ready-to-use liquid concentrate, Revive is added directly to pre-warmed culture media at a recommended concentration of 1-15% (v/v). It is stored at room temperature and requires no complex preparation steps, integrating seamlessly into existing thawing protocols.
Suitable for a wide range of cell types including iPSCs, MSCs, primary cells, and organoids. It is designed for research and further manufacturing applications, supporting the transition from lab-scale to pilot-scale production.
