Leibovitz's L-15 Medium from Gibco™ is a specialized cell culture formulation designed to support the growth of HEP-2 monkey kidney cells and primary explants of embryonic and adult human tissue. This liquid medium is provided in a 500 mL format and is engineered for use in environments where carbon dioxide (CO₂) equilibrium is not possible.
The formulation includes L-glutamine, phenol red, sodium pyruvate, and galactose, while being specifically produced without glucose, HEPES, or sodium bicarbonate. The medium is sterile-filtered to ensure consistent performance and purity. Manufactured under cGMP-compliant conditions adhering to the ISO 13485 standard, this product offers a reliable shelf life of 12 months from the date of manufacture when stored and handled according to specifications.
Leibovitz's L-15 Medium is shipped at room temperature and is suitable for research and further manufacturing applications. It is an animal-origin classified product, intended for professional laboratory use to maintain healthy cell populations in optimized culture conditions.
