Most products require no additional agreements. Cell lines and certain biological materials require a Material Transfer Agreement (MTA) on first purchase from each supplier. We handle this digitally - both parties sign online before shipment. Subsequent orders from the same supplier proceed immediately.
Opo Bio bovine pre-adipocyte lines provide reliable primary cell sources for cultivated Wagyu beef adipose tissue development. Isolated from adult Wagyu adipose tissue, these cells are selected for their adipogenic potential to support research into the marbling and flavour profiles of premium beef. They are supplied frozen and maintain stable differentiation potential, providing a strong foundation for fat tissue engineering.
All lines are adherent and validated for adipogenic marker expression, confirmed through CD31-negative and CD45-negative characterisation. The cells demonstrate post-thaw viability and are supplied for research into adipose tissue development. Each vial contains approximately 1.2 million viable cells and is certified negative for bacteria, fungi and mycoplasma. Sourcing from New Zealand donors supports traceability and biosecurity.
Opo Bio provides a full documentation pack with each vial, including donor breed information, lipid accumulation images and specific differentiation protocols. Technical support is available to assist with adipose maturation and media formulation design.
