Legal

Most products require no additional agreements. Cell lines and certain biological materials require a Material Transfer Agreement (MTA) on first purchase from each supplier. We handle this digitally - both parties sign online before shipment. Subsequent orders from the same supplier proceed immediately.

Opo Bio porcine fibroblast lines provide reliable primary cell sources for cultivated pork connective tissue research. Isolated from juvenile male Sus scrofa donors, these cells offer the consistency required for scaffold development and extracellular matrix (ECM) studies. Derived from dermal tissue and supplied frozen, they maintain stable growth and protein expression across multiple passages, providing a robust foundation for structured tissue engineering.

All lines are adherent and validated for characteristic fibroblast morphology and proliferation capacity. Typical doubling times range from 130 to 150 hours, with high post-thaw attachment rates. Each vial contains approximately 1.2 million viable cells and has been tested negative for mycoplasma and adventitious agents. Sourcing from New Zealand livestock provides a superior biosecurity profile and full traceability for industrial scale-up.

The cells are supplied with a comprehensive documentation pack including certificates of analysis, morphology images, and recommended growth conditions. Purchase includes access to Opo Bio’s technical expertise to assist with co-culture and process optimisation.

These products are for research and development use only. They are not intended for human or diagnostic applications.
