Protevo Bio bFGF2 is a recombinant bovine fibroblast growth factor 2 designed to function as a critical mitogen for the proliferation of mesenchymal and epithelial cells in cultivated meat bioprocesses. Produced in an E. coli expression system, this protein is manufactured using a proprietary chromatography-free purification process that ensures high purity and scalability without the use of animal-derived components. The resulting factor is a carrier-free, wild-type protein optimized for maintaining stemness and driving biomass accumulation in serum-free media formulations.
This growth factor is engineered to address the cost constraints of industrial-scale cellular agriculture while maintaining rigorous quality standards. It features a purity of greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE quantitative densitometry and strictly controlled endotoxin levels to ensure culture safety. Supplied as a sterile lyophilized powder, it offers excellent stability and bioactivity, making it an ideal choice for researchers and manufacturers seeking to optimize the economics of bovine cell cultivation.
