Roslin Technologies ovine induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) offer a specialized tool for the development of cultivated mutton and animal fat tissue. Derived using in-house, non-integrative reprogramming methods, these neural-origin lines ensure high genetic stability and a clear path toward commercial scale-up. The cells are maintained in serum-free and feeder-free conditions, optimizing them for modern bioprocessing workflows.
These iPSC lines are adherent-capable and suspension-compatible, exhibiting a doubling time of less than 32 hours. They demonstrate robust adipogenic potential, validated through Oil Red O staining and marker expression. Each shipment includes standard cryovials containing approximately one million viable cells, along with a complete quality control pack covering sterility, prion testing, and karyotyping by G-Banding.
Ovine iPSC lines are offered under two primary license models. The R&D license covers academic research and non-commercial validation, while the commercial license permits the development of market-ready products.
