XCeLL Factor™ FGF2 is a recombinant human fibroblast growth factor 2 designed to support sustained proliferation and viability in serum free and chemically defined cell culture systems. It provides a key mitogenic signal for a wide range of mammalian cell types, including myoblasts, fibroblasts, and progenitor cells used in cultivated meat and regenerative biology. Its activity helps maintain proliferative capacity during expansion while contributing to controlled differentiation when used in defined protocols.
The protein is produced through E. coli expression and purified to a high level of homogeneity with low endotoxin content. This manufacturing approach ensures reproducible structural quality and batch consistency, reducing variability compared with animal derived alternatives. XCeLL Factor™ FGF2 is supplied as a liquid formulation that integrates directly into basal media or supplement blends without reconstitution.
