Energy Efficiency in Bioreactor Scale-Up Processes
Scaling up bioreactors for cultivated meat production - from small (1–5 L) to large (1,000+ L) systems - brings energy challenges. Larger volumes require more power for mixing, oxygen transfer,...

Most products require no additional agreements. Cell lines and certain biological materials require a Material Transfer Agreement (MTA) on first purchase from each supplier. We handle this digitally - both parties sign online before shipment. Subsequent orders from the same supplier proceed immediately.
Sallea provides direct post-sales support including troubleshooting, process optimisation, and protocol guidance. Batch-specific documents available on request.
Sallea’s ProteinPURE Starter Kit provides a practical and standardised way to test edible scaffold materials for cultivated meat and seafood development. Each kit includes 24 food-grade scaffolds made from plant-based proteins designed to support cell growth in three dimensions. The scaffolds feature a porous lattice that promotes efficient cell attachment, nutrient exchange, and tissue formation, enabling structured samples that replicate the texture and nutritional profile of conventional meat.
The kit contains 24 scaffolds either based on soy (SP25), pea (PP25), or lentil (LP25) protein. These formulations vary slightly in protein composition and mechanical behaviour, allowing researchers to compare how different protein matrices influence cell adhesion and end-product texture. A mixed version is also available, providing all three scaffold types in one set for comparative evaluation.
All ProteinPURE scaffolds are manufactured from food-grade materials and supplied in dry format. They are suitable for both laboratory and bioreactor applications at the R&D stage and produced using edible, non-animal ingredients aligned with future food regulatory expectations.
For research and development use only. Not intended for human consumption.
