cAminos is a plant hydrolysate designed as a low-cost amino acid supplement for serum-free culture media formulations. It contains a balanced profile of all 20 amino acids (additional glutamine supplementation recommended).
Developed by Audrey Lee at Deco Labs, cAminos is produced by hydrolyzing canola meal, the side stream of canola oil production. cAminos is 100% xeno-free and is a natural plant product. Supplied as a 10x sterile aqueous concentrate, cAminos can be directly added to comprise the amino acid fraction of a basal media formulation.
Deco Labs has validated cAminos in cell culture, featuring stable growth equivalent to rates seen in standard basal media (i.e., DMEM F12).
