pFactor1 is a plant-derived additive designed as a low-cost alternative to fibroblast growth factor (FGF2) in serum-free culture media formulations. The additive is designed to stimulate cell proliferation in the absence of recombinant growth factors.
Developed by Dr. John Yuen at Deco Labs, pFactor1 is composed of natural plant compounds and is 100% xeno-free. Supplied as a 1000x sterile aqueous concentrate, pFactor1 can simply be added to existing serum-free media formula sans FGF2.
Deco Labs has validated pFactor1 for in vitro cell proliferation, featuring stable growth equivalent to rates observed in growth factor supplemented media.
