XCeLL ITS Media™ is a serum-free supplement designed to provide insulin, transferrin, and selenium in a defined and ready-to-use format for mammalian cell culture. It supports metabolic balance, nutrient uptake, and antioxidant protection across a wide range of cell types used in cultivated meat research and advanced bioprocessing. By replacing animal serum with defined components, it helps maintain consistent cell proliferation and differentiation in workflows where regulatory alignment and reproducibility are required.

The formulation contains recombinant insulin and transferrin alongside selenium, providing essential cofactors for glucose utilisation, iron transport, and redox control. Each component is manufactured under controlled conditions to ensure high purity and low variability between batches. This consistency supports predictable cellular responses and removes the uncertainty associated with serum-derived supplements. The defined composition aligns with chemically defined media development strategies and is compatible with cell systems such as myoblasts, fibroblasts, and adipogenic precursors.

XCeLL ITS Media™ is supplied as a 100× liquid concentrate that integrates directly into common basal media, including DMEM, RPMI, and MEM. The format allows rapid preparation without reconstitution and supports stable storage at refrigerated temperatures.
