CryoStor® CS10 is a ready-to-use, serum-free, and animal component-free cryopreservation medium designed to maximize post-thaw cell recovery and viability. Formulated with 10% dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) and USP-grade components, this defined medium provides a safe, protective environment for cells during cryopreservation at very low temperatures (–70°C to –196°C).
This cGMP-manufactured medium (Cat. No. CS10) is formulated with USP-grade components and is protein-free, containing no undefined components. It is backed by an FDA Master File to support regulatory submissions and undergoes rigorous quality control testing for sterility, endotoxin levels, and cell-based performance.
CryoStor® CS10 effectively mitigates temperature-induced molecular cell stress responses, ensuring high post-thaw viability (typically 94–98%) and functional retention. Immune cells cryopreserved in CryoStor® CS10 demonstrate robust cytokine secretion and antibody production upon activation, comparable to fresh cells. It is recommended for a variety of sensitive cell types, including myeloma cell lines, human pluripotent stem cells, immune cells (T cells, B cells), and blood-derived cells.
