This specialised microcarrier facilitates the transition from research and development to pilot and commercial-scale bioprocessing.

A core characteristic of the X1 platform is its exceptional customisability, allowing for the precise tuning of physical properties. The gelatine-based material offers a stiffness range from 3 kPa to 100 kPa, which can be optimised to suit diverse cell lines. Furthermore, the microcarriers are fully dissolvable using standard enzymes like TrypLE or Trypsin, which significantly streamlines the cell harvest process.

The X1 Microcarrier has been validated across a broad spectrum of cell types essential for cultivated meat and cellular therapy, including Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs), Myoblasts, Fibroblasts, and HEK293T cells. This broad compatibility ensures robust performance across various species and applications. The platform’s design is focused on achieving maximum cell expansion capacity, providing a credible solution for high-yield bioprocessing.
