CultureGro™ Human SCF Animal Free Recombinant Protein

CultureGro™ Human SCF (Stem Cell Factor) is a high-purity, biologically active recombinant cytokine designed to support hematopoietic cell culture and stem cell expansion. Also known as c-Kit ligand, SCF plays a critical role in hematopoiesis by promoting the proliferation, survival, and differentiation of hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells (HSPCs). It acts synergistically with other key growth factors, such as IL-3, IL-6, and EPO, to support the robust expansion of multiple cell lineages, including myeloid, erythroid, and lymphoid progenitors.

This animal-free recombinant protein is produced in an E. coli expression system and supplied as a high-purity lyophilized powder with a molecular weight of 18.4 kDa. Purified to ≥98% as determined by SDS-PAGE and HPLC analyses, it features an exceptionally low endotoxin concentration of <0.1 EU/μg to prevent unwanted cell activation and ensure consistency in sensitive culture systems. The biological activity of this protein is verified by an ED₅₀ of ≤2.0 ng/mL, measured via the dose-dependent proliferation of human TF-1 cells, which corresponds to a specific activity of ≥5 x 10⁵ units/mg. The lyophilized product is stable for up to one year when stored at -20°C. For optimal performance, reconstitute in sterile water or PBS to a concentration of at least 100 μg/mL, and store aliquots at -20°C, avoiding repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
